Whether it’s coding, art, animation, UI, or adding just one more particle effect - you’ll claim a task and bring it to life. Bonus points if it actually works.

Dev Pods started in 2025 as an iteration and evolution of a 20-year-long struggle to build the perfect game dev group. We were tired of solo dev, sick of not finishing, and bored of tutorials. I’ve been making games for over 25 years, and I’m the founder of HomeTeam GameDev - where remote teams from around the world learn by building real games together.
Over the years, I’ve trained hundreds of hobby teams, taught game development at Georgia Tech and Northeastern, and spoken at events like GDC and IndieCade. I’ve helped over 400,000 students get started in game dev, and even built one of the very first online game development conferences from scratch. Now at Dev Pods, I bring everything I’ve learned to help new developers go from stuck to shipped - one playable game at a time.
And I'm Tim
I’ve personally created over 30 solo games over the last decade—including the commercial title Philophobia. I also founded Game Dev Underground in 2015, and since then, I’ve helped thousands of indie developers from around the world build, finish, and launch better games.
I’m a YouTuber and content creator, and with a background in marketing and education working with brands like GameDev.tv, I’ve learned how to help developers get unstuck, and turn creative chaos into shipped games. At Dev Pods, I bring that same energy to help aspiring devs learn by doing - on real projects, with real teams. And I'm excited to be a part of this next chapter.
